Good value on Colombian beans

I was looking for a new supplier for Colombian green coffee and decided to try Small Batch Roasting. I got 10kg of their Colombian Green Coffee. The wholesale pricing was pretty good, definitely saved a bit compared to my last supplier. It took 6 days to reach me in Florida, which was okay for free delivery. The beans were consistent and roasted well, so I'm happy with the purchase overall. Worth it for the price point, especially with the bulk buy savings.

Fantastic Ethiopian Green Coffee

I ordered 5kg of the Ethiopian Green Coffee last week and it arrived super fast, only 3 days to get to my place in Ohio! The beans roasted up beautifully, really brought out those fruity notes I love. My customers are going to go wild for this batch. I am definitely coming back for more, and telling all my roasting buddies about this place. So happy with the quality!

Any recommendations for a good espresso blend for a cafe?

B BaristaBen 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Their house espresso blend is usually solid. Consistent and crowd-pleasing.

Agreed, always a safe bet for a cafe.

Does it pull well with milk?

T TasteTester 1 week ago
I'd suggest trying a few samples. What one cafe likes, another might not.

Can you even get espresso blend samples?

Decaf green coffee beans - which one tastes least like decaf?

D DecafDrinker 3 days ago ✓ Best Answer
I've had good luck with their Sugarcane Process Decaf. It's surprisingly clean.

F FlavorFan 3 days ago
Sugarcane process is usually the best for flavour retention.

Is it more expensive?

C CynicalCoffee 3 days ago
Honestly, decaf is decaf. They're all pretty similar once roasted.

Not true! Some are much better.

What's a good green coffee for a new small roaster?

R RoastRookie 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Start with their Brazilian Green Coffee. Super forgiving.

Yeah, Brazil's usually a safe bet.

Anyone tried their Vietnamese Robusta? Good for blending?

C CremaKing 3 days ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, it's pretty good for adding crema and a bit of a kick to espresso blends.

S SmoothOperator 3 days ago
Does it add too much harshness?
7
B BlendMaster 3 days ago
Only if you use too much.
6
S StrongStuff 3 days ago
I found it a bit too strong on its own, but in a blend it works.

R RobustaRider 3 days ago
Exactly, just a small percentage.

Which coffee packaging bags are best for freshness AND sustainability?

G GreenBeanGeek 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
The compostable ones are great. Pricey but worth it for the eco cred.
6
S SkepticalJoe 3 weeks ago
Are they really fully compostable though?

E EarthFriendlyCoffee 3 weeks ago
They seem to hold up well enough.
7
P PackagingPro 3 weeks ago
Valve coffee bags are good for freshness, but not all are recyclable. Check the specs.
4
E EcoRoaster 3 weeks ago
True, the valve often complicates recycling.

What's the best option for filter coffee, their single origin or a blend?

P PourOverPro 6 days ago ✓ Best Answer
For filter, I always go single origin. Ethiopian or Kenyan if they have it.
7
F FruityCoffeeLover 6 days ago
Ethiopian is usually amazing for filter.
7
C ClearCup 6 days ago
Yeah, blends can get muddy with filter sometimes.
8
B BlendBuddy 6 days ago
Their filter blends are actually really good too. More consistent.

B BalancedBrew 6 days ago
I find blends can give a more balanced cup for filter.

I'm in Manchester, wondering if they actually hit that 'next day delivery' promise for green coffee? Need a big batch kinda quick.

A Amber 3 months ago
For Manchester, yeah, they're usually solid on next day if you get your order in by the cutoff. I've had a few emergency restocks and they've always come through.
6
M Mike Hughes 3 months ago
Hmm, I'm a bit further north than you but it usually takes two days for me. I think it depends on the time of day you order too. Best to double-check their cut-off times.
